Draft:Blizzards

Blizzards are very common and I will tell you about all of them. There was one in Iran in 1972 and it was awful. Over 4,000 deaths had occurred and knocked over 200 villages with little over 26 ft of snow. due to this Iran is the deadliest Blizzard currently recorded in history. Blizzards are really deadly. just 1972 isn't the only deadliest one there was another one that had a little hundred deaths but had a big impact in the 1800s in 1888 there was a blizzard and it had an impact and then the 1800s it was the biggest blizzard that they've recorded since. so with that out of the way here's some more information on blizzards.

A blizzard is a severe snowstorm characterized by strong winds, heavy snow, and low visibility, specifically winds over 35 mph and visibility of less than 1/4 of a mile for at least three hours. They can also occur without new snowfall when existing snow is blown around by the wind, creating "ground blizzards". Blizzards are dangerous due to their potential to cause whiteouts, hypothermia, power outages, and travel disruption.

Dangers:

Travel -  low visibility it makes it difficult or impossible to drive during these conditions
Health -  low windshield can lead to hypothermia

Safety - make sure you stay indoors and don't go outside unless it's an emergency if you have to go to the emergency room make sure you try to get there as fast as you can or if you have to try to get some supplies just be aware that they might be out of stock on most things to people who know about this blizzard.

Clothing-  make sure you wear layers and not just one layer. I recommend more than at least four layers, four to five at least maybe even close to 10 but try to dress as warm as you can during this storm. As it might be longer than it should be.
