Bimbat (also transliterated as Bimbet) is an Indian sub-caste of Ahluwalia community. People of this surname are either native or related to Punjab region.[1][2][3]

History

Bimbet community was originally a sub-group of the Kalal community and were traditional Chobdars and village leaders. They also joined the Ahluwalia caste with many other groups.[4]
