Austrian Society for European Politics (Österreichische Gesellschaft für Europapolitik) — Austria's leading think tank dedicated to promoting and supporting European initiatives was founded in Vienna in 1991 on the initiative of former Secretary of State for European Affairs Peter Jankovich.[1][2][3][4][5] ÖGfE is a member of EPIN (Network of European Political Institutes) and an associate member of TEPSA (Association for European Policy Studies).[6]

History
[edit]The Austrian Society for European Politics (ÖGfE) is an organization founded in 1991 in Vienna on the initiative of former Secretary of State for European Affairs Peter Jankovic.[2] Throughout its history, ÖGfE has participated in various European projects, including Europe for Citizens, Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Networks, and many others. Over the years, the organization has published books such as "25 Ideen für Europa" (2016) and "The Future of Europe — Views from the Capitals" (2018). In 2020, the book "Euroscepticism and The Future of Europe — Views from the Capitals" was published. Since October 2012, ÖGfE has been regularly publishing analytical materials on current European issues in the Austrian and international media.[7] In 2024, the organization conducted a survey according to which 54% of Austrians trust the euro as a currency, and the digital euro is still awaiting widespread adoption.[8]
