Anders Sjöman, born in 1970, is a Swedish business leader and communications manager specializing in the strategic use of history. Since 2025, he is the Chief Executive Officer of the archive and business history organization, the Centre for Business History in Stockholm (Centrum för Näringslivshistoria).[1]
Career
[edit]Sjöman has a background in communications, business development, and storytelling. He began his career as a project manager and head of web development at EF Education in Boston, and subsequently worked as a research associate at Harvard Business School`s research centre in Paris, where he, among other things, wrote over 30 educational case studies[2]. He has also been a communication consultant at the pr-agency Springtime in Stockholm and a communications director at the Swedish video-on-demand service Voddler.[3] During the period 2011–2012, he was a member of the Digitalization Council under then IT Minister Anna-Karin Hatt.
In 2015, he joined the Centre for Business History in Stockholm as communications director and head of client projects.[3] There, he led the company’s client projects in “history marketing”, assisting organizations in using heritage as a strategic asset.[4][5] In March 2025, he was appointed the organization’s new CEO, succeeding Alexander Husebye, who had led the organization for nearly three decades.
