During his imprisonment in the Vladimir Central Prison, he met the emerging singer Mikhail Krug, who later dedicated the song «Vladimir Central Prison» to him. Their friendship continued until Krug’s death.[2].
During his time in prison, Severov became addicted to drugs, which led to his final sentence in 2011 — a suspended sentence for being under the influence of drugs at a train station in St. Petersburg.[3]
In 2014, he was was forced into "retirement" for numerous violations of the thieves’ code.[4].
