Abbas Haghparast (born November 6, 1967, in Karbala, Iraq) is a full professor at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, a specialist in human physiology, and a neuroscience researcher. He returned to Iran with his family during childhood and pursued all his education in Iran.[1]
Education
[edit]Haghparast received his B.Sc. in Biology from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in February 1990. He obtained his M.Sc. in Physiology from Kerman University of Medical Sciences in 1993, and his Ph.D. in Physiology from Tarbiat Modares University in late 1998. In 1999, he completed a six-month postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.[2]
Academic career
[edit]Haghparast began his academic career as an instructor at Kerman University of Medical Sciences in 1993. After returning from Canada in 1999, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the same university. Since late 2005, he has been affiliated with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, where he has served for more than a decade as a full professor.[3]
