The 2028 Utah gubernatorial election is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2028, to elect the governor of Utah. Incumbent Republican Governor Spencer Cox is eligible to run for re-election to a third term but has declined to do so.[citation needed]
Democrats have not won a Utah gubernatorial election since 1980.
