The 2025 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour – Event of Mexico was the opening round of the 2025 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. The event was held on 2–3 May 2025 in conjuction with 2025 TCR Mexico and marked the first TCR World Tour event in Mexico.

[edit]A total of 24 cars entered the event. 10 of them also contested TCR Mexico, with most of them entering more than one driver per car. [1][2][3]

[edit]Two practice sessions were held on 1 May. Esteban Guerrieri was the quickest in FP1, setting the time of 1:34.655, which also ended up being the fastest time of the day. Aurélien Comte was the quickest in FP2 with the time of 1:34.812.[4][5]
Qualifying
[edit]The qualifying was held on 2 May. It was contested over two sessions, with the top 10 drivers from Q1 progressing into Q2.[6]

[edit]Race 1 was held of 2 May 2025. It was originally won by Yann Ehrlacher, who later received a 10-second time penalty for overtaking Santiago Urrutia off track. Björk therefore inherited the victory.
