Fictional character biography
[edit]Devilance is a New God from Apokolips and a hunter who serves its leader, Darkseid. In his first appearance, Devilance battles the Forever People and Infinity-Man, with he and Infinity-Man being presumed dead in the ensuing fight.[2][3]
In the series 52, Devilance is revealed to have survived and captures Starfire, Adam Strange, and Animal Man.[4] The three manage to escape, with Devilance being killed by Lobo shortly afterward.[5]
Devilance is resurrected following The New 52 and DC Rebirth relaunches, which rebooted the continuity of the DC universe.[6]
Powers and abilities
[edit]As a New God, Devilance possesses superhuman physical abilities. He can manipulate his density and is resistant to extreme temperatures.
Devilance's principal weapon is his lance, which serves many functions. It can fly, fire powerful energy blasts, and track others via its circuitry.
In other media
[edit]Devilance appears as a character summon in Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure.[7]
