Dans mon corps is the third studio album by Québécois Pop rock group Les Trois Accords released October 13, 2009.[1]

The album marked a stylistic evolution for the band as they moved away from the punk-infused tones of their earlier work to a more polished pop sound with richer melodic textures.[2] The production was helmed by Gus Van Go, a notable figure known for his work with several Canadian indie rock acts, which contributed to attaining a fuller, less distorted sound compared to previous releases.[3]

Les Trois Accords also incorporated brass instruments on this album, enhancing the arrangements' depth and diversity.[4] The lyrical style remains faithful to the band’s signature quirky humor and surrealism, featuring playful puns and ironic narratives throughout the album.[5]

Several singles from the album, notably "Caméra vidéo" and "Dans mon corps," received significant radio play in Québec.[6] The album’s visual identity featured a recurring character portrayed as a 1960s-style soul singer, used in multiple music videos, adding a distinctive thematic cohesion.[7]

The album was produced by Gus Van Go and recorded in Brooklyn, New York, at his Williamsburg studio.[8]

Reception

"Dans mon corps" was praised for its matured songwriting and refined production, balancing the band's trademark humor with more sophisticated musical arrangements.[9] Some critiques noted that while the vocals occasionally lacked precision, the album’s energetic melodies and playful lyrics compensated fully.[10]
