Cadet College Swat (CCS) is a military boarding school in Gulibagh, Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, established as a joint venture of the Pakistan Army and the provincial government.
The college spans 112 acres in the valley of Gulibagh, about 19 km from Mingora. It enrolls around 600 students in its residential and academic programs.
History
[edit]The idea of establishing a cadet college in Swat emerged in the aftermath of the 2009–2010 military operation that restored peace to the valley after years of militancy.[1] In recognition of the resilience and sacrifices of the people of Swat, the project was conceived as a means to provide quality, disciplined education to the youth of Malakand Division and to rebuild public confidence in state institutions.
The initiative was formally approved in 2010 through the joint efforts of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pakistan Army.[2] The then Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, played leading roles in launching the institution.
Cadet College Swat was inaugurated in 2011 under the leadership of its founding principal, Brigadier (R) Fazale Qadir.[3] The college quickly gained prominence as a flagship educational project in Malakand Division, symbolizing the region's transition from conflict to stability.
In recent years, the Board of Governors has overseen further development, including revised master plans and civil works to expand the campus.[4]

The campus also features a mosque, a multi-purpose auditorium hall, a library, a hospital, administration block, residential quarters (BoQs and MoQs), and cadet hostels.
