The Bab Zir Mosque (Arabic: مسجد باب زير) is a modest neighborhood mosque. situated in the Bab Zir district of the medina of Tlemcen, Algeria.[1] The district takes its name from a historic city gate that once stood in the area but no longer exists.[2]
The mosque has a tall square-shaped minaret that, together with the mosque, and two Marabouts of the cemetery of El Obbad Es Soufli, are listed as a cultural heritage monument of Algeria.[citation needed]
