Anna Elizabeth Sabine[1] is a British Liberal Democrat politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Frome and East Somerset since 2024. She is the first holder of the seat. She won 16,580 votes (35.5%), with a majority of 5,415.[2]
Early life
[edit]Sabine grew up in Bishy. She studied Philosophy, politics, and economics at Wadham College, University of Oxford.[3][4]
Political career
[edit]In Parliament she serves as parliamentary private secretary to Ed Davey.[5] She was a candidate for Chair of the Liberal Democrats Parliamentary Party but lost to Steff Aquarone.[5]
Following the Liberal Democrat Conference in Bournemouth in September 2025, Sabine joined the frontbench in a reshuffle as Culture, Media and Sport spokeswoman.[6]
Personal life
[edit]She moved to the area in about 2004, and has two teenage children.[7]
