Music career

[edit]

Raghunath comes from a family of music connoisseurs and was introduced to music at the age of three. She gave her first public performance at the age of thirteen and has since performed throughout India and internationally.

Raghunath trained under prominent musicians, including Sangita Kala acharya Smt. (Late) Seethalakshmi Venkatesan, Padma Bhushan Sri P. S. Narayanaswamy, and Sangeetha Kalasagaram Smt. Vegavahini Vijayaraghavan. Through this training, she upholds the traditions of the Semmangudi and Veena Dhanammal bhanis (styles).

The Hindu described her musical style as a blend of classicism and spontaneity, marked by elegance, and noted for its purity and clarity.[1][2]

Music, like any other profession, is a full-time job and requires a lot of thought and mind space as a performing art".[3]
