The 1961–62 Al Ahly SC season was the football club’s 12th campaign in the Egyptian Premier League. Led by president Salah Dessouki, the team played home matches at Cairo Stadium. In the league, Al Ahly secured the championship—its 11th title—finishing ahead of rivals such as Zamalek and Tersana. The side’s top scorer was Taha Ismail, who netted 11 goals during the campaign. In the Egypt Cup, Al Ahly were eliminated in the first round after a 4–0 loss to Tersana. The season ran from 6 October 1961 to 22 April 1962 and solidified Al Ahly’s dominance in domestic football at the time.
