- February 28 - Treaty of Kalisz, A treaty which solidified a Russo-Prussian alliance, and marked the official shift in Prussia to be against Napoleon.
- August 29–30 – Battle of Kulm, A battle in the War of the Sixth Coalition, in which the French, under general Dominique Vandamme, faced a Coalition army led by Alexander Osterman-Tolstoy, resulting in a Coalition victory and Vandamme's capture
- October 16-19, Battle of Leipzig, A battle in the War of the Sixth Coalition where the Russians, under Levin August von Bennigsen with help of other coalition powers, beats the French and marks the end of the Confederation of the Rhine.
- October 24 - Treaty of Gulistan, ending the fourth Russo-Persian War (1804–1813).
